On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Aula Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar witnessed the 2nd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Approaches in Health Science. The seminar focused on the theme “Optimizing Quality of Health and Inter-professional Care for Cancer Through Global Health Transformation.” Running until October 11, 2024, the event brought together participants from various health institutions, including Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, Kendari, Kupang, Palu, and Universitas Syah Kuala Banda Aceh, among others.
In his opening remarks, the Director of Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar proudly reported that extensive preparations had been made for the event. “We have worked hard to ensure that all participants have the best experience. The spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange is our main focus,” he stated. The atmosphere of the seminar was filled with enthusiasm from participants with diverse healthcare backgrounds.
Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. dr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD-KEMD, Ph.D, expressed high appreciation in his speech. “Global health transformation is key to enhancing the quality of cancer care. Collaboration among professionals is essential,” he emphasized. This statement underscored the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in tackling complex health challenges.
The conference also featured engaging presentations from experts. Interactive discussions stood out, with participants actively asking questions and providing input. Attendees from FK Universitas Udayana and STIKES Bina Husada shared research-based insights into cancer care. This highlighted the significance of natural health development through collaboration.
This seminar did not only focus on theory but also on practical applications in the field. Participants were encouraged to think of concrete solutions that could be implemented in their respective institutions. The Ministry of Health plays a vital role in supporting the development of programs oriented toward quality care.
